We began development today on a custom blog application which will allow our clients to keep track of what is going on within our company, projects that we are working on, and emerging technologies that we can use in future projects. We strive to keep ahead of the curve, so it is important for us to stay on top of the newest technologies available for web design and development in order to provide the best service possible and create sites and applications that will remain top of the line for years to come.
Our blog application is being built from the ground up with one thing in mind: Search Engine Optimization. Unlike other open source blog applications out there on the web, we are focusing on improving the way in which content indexed, described, and linked. The main feature of our blog application will be the many-to-many cardinality between blog entries and keywords. This idea is nothing new, as tag clouds have been around for years, but we are taking things one step further by creating a keyword library. Each keyword will have its own unique ID, a full description and definition, as well as its relationship to other keywords. By providing the keywords relationship with each other, you are no longer limited by simple Boolean searches and are able to create much more powerful queries which provide far better results.
We will be keeping our news fresh and up to date as soon as its development is completed. We are also in the process of getting all of our past and present projects up on our website and providing a minimum of one page for each. Our blog application is still in the early stages of development and articles can only be created internally and comments are disabled. It allows realtors and real estate agencies to manage their listings, agents, photos, and more through an intuitive administrative panel to update their website in real time.
